July Canoe Day at Noxubee Refuge

Saturday, July 18th, 2020 from 8:30am to 4:00pm

About

Help our Friends of Noxubee Refuge run the canoe station at our monthly canoe day! We need volunteers willing to lift and carry canoes, fit visitors with properly sized life vests and paddles, as well as help get visitors in and out of their canoes on the water. Volunteers are encouraged to work in 2 hour shifts, starting at 8:30 and ending at about 3:30. Volunteers are able to get out on and enjoy the water around their scheduled volunteer shift. Meet at the Visitor Center! If interested in volunteering or getting a group to help volunteer for this canoe day, please reach out to taylor_hackemack@fws.gov to get scheduled! Please bring water and wear the proper outdoor attire.

*All volunteers must be willing to sign a Volunteer Service Agreement prior to their service at Noxubee Wildlife Refuge. This form can be completed the day of the service event.*
