Fall 2020 Front Desk Lobby Volunteer

The Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library and the Frank and Virginia Williams Collection of Lincolniana offer a meaningful service opportunity to driven Mississippi State students and members of the Golden Triangle Community. As one of six college campuses in the nation with a presidential library, Mississippi State University, and the U.S. Grant Library attract thousands of visitors every year. Our volunteers are the first point of contact between the library and our visitors. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated students and community members who enjoy working with the public, greeting visitors, and researchers looking to explore our vast collections. These volunteers are critical in helping us execute the important mission of the U.S. Grant Library and the U.S. Grant Association. Volunteers will also have the chance to develop their interpersonal skills, earn volunteer hours, and build professional relationships. Joining the team of the U.S. Grant Library is also a great way to jump-start your resume or graduate school application. Expertise in history is not required of our volunteers and all training can be completed on the first day. In joining the USGPL volunteer team, we hope you will obtain a sense of pride and accomplishment through this important service opportunity.

Volunteers will work from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, and/or 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the front lobby of the USGPL.
