Join the team at Lake Louisa State Park and live and volunteer in a beautiful state park! Campground hosts answer questions, help with maintenance and are available for late-night emergencies. A campsite is provided in return at no charge.

Volunteer Position Title: Campground Host(s)

Job Type: Maintenance

Month Availability: August through October 31st, 2020

Time Commitment: 20 hours minimum per week per site. 16-week max stay; work 5 consecutive days with two days off per week

Regular Job Duties: Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and campsites (two bathhouses and 60 sites if one host site is signed up; work will be cut in half, on three out of five days, if two host sites are signed up)

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to pass a sexual offender background check, be able to work 20 hours a week, be at least 18 years old, and have ability to work outdoors.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Preferred:
Experience working in a campground or state park, working in a ranger station or with customer service, computers, and a cash register, working outside and operating power tools and heavy equipment, experience in carpentry, electric, and/or plumbing.

Additional Information: Campsite has water, electric and sewage hook-ups provided. Site surface is packed limestone gravel. Clermont is situated in Central Florida and close to a lot of Florida attractions.

Volunteers are integral to the Florida State Parks team as we work together to preserve, interpret and restore ...the Real Florida.
