WE CARE's mission is to enhance learning skills and improve life abilities to provide a better learning experience for the entire family by feeding the body, mind, and spirit.
One component of WE CARE is to serve Winston county by tutoring K-9 students in English, math, reading, history, and geography. Winston County has a high level of poverty which can lead to drug use, poor housing, and physical abuse. Our organization provides resources to inspire, break life cycles, and bring about new beginnings. WE CARE is adding year-round tutoring, Monday - Friday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. As we continue to expand our programs, we are looking for people from our community to get involved. Our summer program will remain on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Informational workshops are set as needed.
