Starkville Oktibbeha County School District (SOCSD) Clothes Closets

About

The Starkville Oktibbeha School District (SOSD) Clothes Closets are primarily stocked with donated gently used, school dress-code* items, provide an immediate change of clothes for children in case of an accident while at school, and they supply clothing and personal hygiene items for social workers and counselors to assist families in need.

Want to volunteer? Volunteers are needed to help organize and keep the closets in order at the schools, and to help with the fall & spring clothing drives at the schools or run independent drives.

Want to donate? Gently used or new dress-code* pants, shorts, skirts, and shirts; any style shoes, coats, jackets, and sweaters; as well as new socks, underwear, personal hygiene items, and laundry supplies are always needed. Donations are welcome year round. All sizes, from 3T to adult XXL, are requested. (*The SOCSD dress code for K-7 includes khaki and black pants, shorts, and skirts, and yellow, white, gray, and black polo shirts, as well as school district T-shirts. Diapers, wipes, and personal hygiene and laundry supplies can be donated to the closets and will be distributed to those in need by the school social workers.)
