During this time, me and other lovely ladies of I.D.E.A.L WOMEN participated in tabling along with other organizations. This tabling consist of getting students and many others on campus who were not registered to vote, registered to do so in Mississippi. This allowed me to gain interaction skills by speaking out to others and encouraging them to register to vote. It also permitted me to explain the importance of being registered. In addition to my reflection above, it authorized me to gain new bonds and strengthen my bonds with other lovely people within or without my organization.
During this Thursday afternoon, I attended the J.L King Center. In my time volunteering, I helped assist students of all ages in their extracurricular activities, along with getting to know them more and creating bonds with them all.
During this Thursday afternoon, I attended the J.L King Center. In my time volunteering, I helped students prepare for a reading competition. We went over the pronunciation and spelling of words. This experience allowed me to learn how to create assignments on a learning website for the students. I created 2 math and 2 reading assignments for them to complete in the next upcoming weeks.
I attended the J.L King Center. During this time I assisted students with their homework. I also accompanied students while they drew and decorated paper after their homework was complete.
I attended the J.L King Center. During this time I made copies of every student's report card for Ms. Margret to monitor. The skills I learned were valuable during this community service time as I got more familiar with a copying machine!
Today I assisted kids with picking out a book based on their interests. Alongside that, I helped organize shelves in a storage room located in the library.
I attended the J.L King Center where I assisted students with their homework. During this day we also went outside to enjoy the weather and have fun!
